Starting league bowling can feel like a big step, especially if you don’t have your own equipment yet. Bowl for a Ball is designed to remove the upfront cost of buying a bowling ball and reward brand new league bowlers for giving league bowling a proper go.

Instead of purchasing a bowling ball before you even know if league bowling is for you, you can earn one by committing to your first league season.

Having your own bowling ball makes a massive difference. When a ball is custom fitted to your hand, it is more comfortable, easier to control, and far more consistent than using house balls. Most bowlers improve faster, feel more confident on the lanes, and enjoy the game a whole lot more once they are using their own equipment.

Bowl for a Ball is our way of helping new league bowlers take that next step without the upfront cost.

A custom-drilled ball is fitted specifically to your fingers and grip. That means better control, a smoother release, and more consistent shots. Simply put, it feels better, rolls better, and helps you bowl better.

The offer is available to new league bowlers joining any 2026 league. To be eligible, you must not have bowled in any league at any bowling centre in the past 36 months and must bowl at least 85% of the season. Pre-bowling counts toward this minimum.

Once the season is complete, eligible bowlers will receive a free plastic/polyester bowling ball valued at around $150! View eligible balls in the T&C's (view them below!). The ball is awarded at the end of the season and includes custom drilling, completed by appointment.

Weight and colour options are subject to availability, with one ball available per eligible bowler. At this stage, the promotion does not apply to Junior League or All Ability League.

There is no obligation to continue league bowling once the season is finished. Most bowlers find that by the time they have completed a season and have their own ball, they are keen to keep going.
