Bowl for a Ball – Terms & Conditions

The Bowl for a Ball promotion is offered by Colac Tenpin Bowl to encourage new bowlers to participate in league bowling.

Eligibility

• The promotion is open to new league bowlers only.

• A new league bowler is defined as a person who has not participated in any league at any bowling centre within the past 36 months.

• The promotion applies to eligible 2026 leagues only.

• The promotion does not apply to Junior League or All Ability League at this stage.

Participation requirements

• To qualify for the promotion, the bowler must:

  • Join an eligible league, and

  • Bowl at least 85% of the scheduled league weeks for that season.

• Pre-bowling counts toward the 85% minimum participation requirement.

• If a bowler does not meet the 85% participation requirement, eligibility may still be maintained by paying $8 per missed week plus the weekly prize fund contribution for those weeks.

• Weekly league fees and prize fund payments must be paid in full throughout the season.

Bowling ball details

• Eligible bowlers will receive one free plastic/polyester bowling ball, valued at approximately $150.

• The bowling ball will be selected from the following ranges only, subject to availability at the time of redemption:

  • Storm Ice

  • Storm Mix

  • Columbia 300 White Dot

  • Brunswick T-Zone

  • Hammer Axe

• The bowling ball is awarded after the completion of the league season, once all eligibility requirements have been met.

• Ball drilling is included and will be completed by appointment.

• Ball brand, weight, colour, and specifications are subject to availability.

• One bowling ball is permitted per eligible bowler.

• The bowling ball is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, refunds, or other products.

• Colac Tenpin Bowl reserves the right to substitute an equivalent plastic/polyester bowling ball of similar value if a listed model, colour, or weight is unavailable at the time of redemption.

• Colac Tenpin Bowl is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage resulting from the use or misuse of the bowling ball once it has been issued to the bowler.

League changes or cancellation

• If an eligible league is cancelled, shortened, merged, or materially altered due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond Colac Tenpin Bowl’s control, eligibility for the promotion may be reviewed or adjusted at the discretion of Colac Tenpin Bowl.

Collection of bowling ball

• Eligible bowlers must arrange ball drilling and collection within a reasonable timeframe following the completion of the league season.

General conditions

• Bowlers who withdraw from the league, are removed, or fail to meet participation or payment requirements may forfeit eligibility for the promotion.

• Participation in the promotion requires completion and signing of the Bowl for a Ball form.

• Colac Tenpin Bowl reserves the right to:

  • Verify eligibility at any time,

  • Refuse or revoke eligibility if incorrect or misleading information is provided, and

  • Modify, suspend, or withdraw the promotion if required due to operational or unforeseen circumstances.

• Participation in the promotion does not create any obligation to continue league bowling beyond the current season.

• Colac Tenpin Bowl is not responsible for delays or failure to fulfil the promotion due to events beyond its reasonable control.

Interpretation

• All decisions regarding eligibility, participation, and ball allocation are at the discretion of Colac Tenpin Bowl.
